FSC Scholarship Form--due May 10, 2010! The Dearborn
Figure Skating Board of Directors have instituted this scholarship
in order to support the educational endeavors of our Dearborn
Figure Skating Club Skaters. The DFSC scholarship will range
from $500 to $1000 annually. While classroom and extracurricular
activities certainly are important aspects of the judging
criteria, this scholarship program places special emphasis
on an essay completed by the student. The applicant must
submit an essay no more than 500 words in length describing
how involvement in figure skating has helped her or him
to live, learn and work. The award money can be applied
to tuition expenses for colleges, universities or specialized
vocational training. Only Dearborn Figure Skating Club Members,
who have been members for at least 2 years and are graduating
with the class of 2010 are eligible to apply.
